Prithipal Singh hockey tourney begins tomorrow

Olympian Prithipal Singh Hockey tournament is going to start from Monday at Mata Sahib Kaur Sports Stadium Jarkhar.

Olympian Prithipal Singh Hockey tournament is going to start from Monday at Mata Sahib Kaur Sports Stadium Jarkhar.

The tournament is being organised by Ludhiana Sports Welfare Association and Jarkhar Hockey Academy, to pay tribute to penalty corner expert Prithipal Singh.

The first match will be played between teams of Guru Gobind Singh Club Ludhiana Vs Grewal Club Kila Raipur in the evening.

Association president Ajaypal Singh Mangat said that eight junior and six senior teams will participate in the tournament.

The matches will also be played under flood lights. The semi-finals will be played on June 8 while final matches will be played on June 9.
