In another major embarrassment, Punjab Technical University published the answer key of a set of objective-type questions of MBA semester-IV, the examination of which was held on Friday at various centres across the country.
The answer key of section-A of 'Project Evaluation and Implementation', being held under the distance education programme of the university, was published on the last page of the question paper.
Last Saturday, around 20,000 students appearing under the PTU's distance education programme across the country were inconvenienced after they did not get their admit cards on time. The students who did not have roll numbers were allowed to sit in the examination an hour later.
The answers of 20 questions, with one mark each, in section-A of the paper, had the answer key with the heading 'KEY'.
About 6,500 students appeared in the examination, including 3,500 with re-appears. Interestingly, the university cancelled the examination just 20 minutes before it was to conclude.
The section-A had 10 objective-type questions and 10 fill-in-the-blank type. The paper, comprising 75 marks, had three sections of which 20 marks questions had answers while 25 marks were to be given in the internal assessment.

{{/usCountry}}"The university got to know about this so late. We had attempted almost all the questions.Moreover, they didn't mention the next date of examination. What is our fault in this?" a student who appeared in the examination said.
A learning centre official said, "Initially, there were about 1.5 lakh students studying under the distance education programme and a few employees managed this all. Now there are 50,000 students left and 500 employees are working in the university now. PTU is outsourcing the work of holding examination to private companies which was done by the regional centres and learning centres earlier," a learning centre official said.
"This is a clear case of mismanagement by the private companies hired by the university," another learning centre official said. Repeated calls to the vice-chancellor were unanswered.
