The protesters raised slogans against the PUDA authorities outside the office, skipping their normal routine work. The PUDA staff have been observing pen-down strike for the past 10 days.

The protesters are demanding allotment of plots on public rates to all the employees, delay in promotions of steno-cum-typists, who had cleared eligibility tests, regularisation of 45 employees working on daily wages, extension of two years in services of the retiring employees from PUDA like the state government, promotion of Class-IV employees to supervisors, application of service rules on field staff and provision of ex-gratia for Class-I officers only.

“From Monday onwards, the protest which was being conducted outside all offices of the PUDA, will be conducted outside Chandigarh office,” said Gurjant Singh, a protesting employee.
