Kosli is the largest assembly constituency with 2.15 lakh votes, dominated by Ahirs, under the Rohtak parliamentary constituency.

Political experts said that campaigning by Rao Inderjit for Dhankar has lots of significance as Jhajjar, Rohtak and Bahadurgarh were chosen for setting up AIIMS, IIT, IIM and industries, Kosli, which is part of Rewari district, was neglected in the Congress regime.

It is worthy to mention that incumbent member of parliament Deepender Singh Hooda, who is Congress nominee from Rohtak, was polled 60,393 votes, while INLD-BJP nominee Nafe Singh Rathee was polled 36,243 votes from Kosli assembly constituency in 2009.

But that time, Rao Inderjit was a Congressman and a vote catcher for Deepender.

“Rao Inderjit Singh would start touring Kosli assembly constituency from Wednesday in favour of Om Prakash Dhankar”, said Anoop Ahlawat, BJP spokesperson.
