Ravinder Brahmpura takes oath as Khadoor Sahib MLA

Newly elected Shiromani Akali Dal MLA from Khadoor Sahib Ravinder Singh Brahmpura was on Wednesday administered the oath of office by Vidhan Sabha speaker Charanjit Atwal in the presence of chief minister Parkash Singh Badal.

Brahmpura, son of senior Akali MP Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, who was present on the occasion, had swept the Khadoor Sahib bypoll in a one-sided contest with the Congress and the AAP staying away.

Meanwhile, Alwinder Pal Singh Pakhoke and Pawan Kumar Singla also took oath as the state information commissioners. Punjab governor Kaptan Singh Solanki administered them the oath of office and secrecy at Raj Bhawan here.
