They demanded that the suspension of the MPs be revoked.

A delegation of the Congress members was led by the district president (urban) of the Congress, Gurpreet Gogi, who said the MPs were demanding resignation of minister of external affairs Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje and Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, whose names had allegedly cropped up in different scams.

In the memorandum, Gogi stated that several parties had supported the Congress against the suspension and had decided to boycott the House for the next five days. "We requested the President to immediately use his office to restore democracy and revoke the suspension of the Congress MPs, who have been suspended purely to protect the guilty in various scams," Gogi said.
