The notice was issued after he failed to present his election expenses to the expenses observer on August 16 at the district administrative complex.

The candidate will now have to give the details within three days, failing which it would be assumed that he was deliberately concealing information.

Chahal said action would be taken under section 77(1) of the Representation of People Act, 1951, according to which permission granted for electioneering would be withdrawn.
