DGSE Kumar Rahul in his report said the Punjab Education Development Board had sanctioned Rs 1,14.31 crore for the construction of building, and the first installment will be released soon.

The PSHRC directed the DGSE to submit a report on the building by October 10, while hearing a complaint filed by social activist Aditya Bhatara, who had complained that more than 100 students were forced to sit on the floor in a single classroom and corridors were being used as temporary classrooms as the government had not released a grant for the new building after the demolition of the old one.
