Captain was responding to the rival parties’ statements “celebrating” the income tax department and enforcement directorate’s summons to his son, which the former chief minister has alleged happened at the behest of Union finance minister Arun Jaitley.

The state Congress chief said while the SAD-BJP endorsement of Jaitley’s action was understandable, he was surprised and amused over the AAP’s stand.

“The only conclusion that can be derived from the SAD-BJP and AAP finding a common cause is that these parties are too scared of the Congress ahead of the assembly elections in Punjab,” said Captain, adding, “The way the AAP is celebrating the ED notice to my son, it looks like Jaitley proposes and AAP disposes.”
