SAD leader's son among 3 held for mishandling SHO

Jagdish Singh, son of Shriomani Akali Dal leader from Nabha, Makhan Singh Lalka, along with two others, on Tuesday night was arrested for misbehaving with an SHO. A case under sections 353, 186, 506, 34 of the IPC was registered against the trio.

A police team led by Amloh SHO Ravinder Kumar signalled a car fitted with a red beacon to stop.

The SHO pointed out that the beacon was illegal and the driver, Rattan Singh, agreed to remove it, however, Jagdish Singh, got down and allegedly misbehaved with the SHO. The police team immediately arrested Jagdish Singh, a resident of Sardar Nagar, Mandi Gobindgarh; his driver Rattan Singh of Fatehgarh Sahib and a woman, Ramandeep. Jagdish's medical examination was conducted at civil hospital, Amloh, as police suspected that he was drunk.

The accused were produced in an Amloh court, which remanded them in judicial custody.
