More than 400 jawans from the paramilitary forces — the railway police force (RPF), border security force (BSF), rapid action force (RAF) and the Rajasthan armed constabulary (RAC) participated in the event.
It took place on the orders of the police commissioner of Gurgaon, Alok Mittal.

It is estimated that over 4,000 officials have been deployed in the entire parliamentary constituency. Police check posts were set up as early as Sunday and 73 patrolling parties have been set up throughout the constituency. Apart from the police, 10 deployments of paramilitary troops will be present, though mostly at hypersensitive booths.

Mittal visited many villages including the sensitive areas in Hayatpur, Garhi Harsaru , Gadoli and Basai, on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, ACP (DLF) Dalbir Singh along with the SHO’s of the police stations in the east conducted a flag march in Nathupur, Wazirabad, Kanhai and Bandwari.

These barricades have personnel checking vehicles carrying illegal weapons or liquor during the polls.
