The Punjab government has given minister of state rank to the chairman of Punjab State Technical Education and Industrial Training Board, Sewa Singh Sekhwan, an official communication from the government informed here on Thursday. A notification has already been issued in this regard, it added.

Sekhwan, a former state cabinet minister who held the portfolio of education, was given the board chair in April last.
