Shahbad jubilant over Rani's nomination for award

The Shahbad town is jubilant as its resident Indian hockey team member Rani Rampal has been nominated for the rising star of the year award by the International Federation of Hockey (IFH). The results will be announced by December 23.

The Shahbad town is jubilant as its resident Indian hockey team member Rani Rampal has been nominated for the rising star of the year award by the International Federation of Hockey (IFH). The results will be announced by December 23.

The 20-year-old former captain of Indian hockey team, Rani, was nominated women of the year award by IFH last year. She was awarded young women of the year award by IFH in 2010.

Rani said she was very happy to know that she had been nominated by the IFH for the award this year. She said that such awards provide enthusiasm and strength to excel in future.

Rani, who could not accompany the Indian hockey team for Italy tour due to an injury in her arm, is hopeful to join the team soon. She said that she was making a speedy recovery. She got injured while practicing in a camp so doctors advised her to take rest for one month.
