Shiromani Akali Dal would lead Nakodar, Nurmahal councils: Sood
Nakodar and Nurmahal nagar council and Mehatpur and Lohian Khas nagar panchayats would be led by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidates while vice-presidents would be from the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP).

Nakodar and Nurmahal nagar council and Mehatpur and Lohian Khas nagar panchayats would be led by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidates while vice-presidents would be from the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP).
This announcement was made by Tikshan Sood, advisor to Punjab chief minister and member of SAD-BJP coordination committee.
Addressing a meeting of party's elected and contesting candidates, Sood said both parties have performed well in municipal elections in the state and people have re-imposed their confidence in policies being persued by SAD-BJP regime in the state.
He said that stern action would be taken against those who worked against party in these elections.
