The forum was formed on September 8 and on the next day the deputy chief minister said leaders of the forum only wanted to grab power and interest of the state was not their priority.

Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir, who was holding sangat darshan here at his assembly constituency, also criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP ) for ditching its ‘‘responsibility towards the people of Delhi’’ and said AAP in its ‘greedy’ quest for attaining power in the state had paid no heed to the development in the national capital city.

Earlier, he laid the foundation stone of new flooring in the villages, distributed grants for NREGA Bhawan, dharamshalas for Schedule Caste community, sports stadiums, boundary wall around village ponds and sports equipment. He also said over `700 crore had been spent on the development of border area during the previous years.
