Smoke emanating from the landing gear of a SpiceJet Delhi-Amritsar flight caused a scare at the Amritsar airport on Thursday.

The flight had landed in Amritsar at 6:15 pm when an engineer saw smoke billowing from the right landing gear.

As a precautionary measure, the engineer used fire extinguisher over the gear. All passengers are safe and the incident is not being termed a fire or a tyre burst.
