The members were demanding regularisation for teachers enrolled since five years who had still not been regularised.

"The government had assured teachers before the Lok Sabha elections that it would give them regular pay scale and regularise them, but nothing has happened till date," said state president Didar Singh Mudki of the SSA/RMSA/CSS teachers' union.

He said the state government had notified regular scale and the central government had also stalled all funds for their salaries but the demands were still pending.

Mudki said it was the duty of the state government to give them regular pay scale or they would hold a massive protest in the state if their demands won't be fulfilled.
