A student of nursery class, the child was going alone from his house to a religious place which is situated outside the village, to get ‘parshad’ at around 5.00 pm. Finding him alone, a group of stray dogs trapped him and started eating him, said his father Sukhwinder Singh.

The dogs did not only eat him, but also pulled him to sizable distance on the road. He died before the villagers could notice the attack by stray dogs , said assistant sub-inspector Nachhatar Singh who visited the spot along with his colleagues.

While holding the administration responsible for the unfortunate incident, the villagers said the stray dogs are a big threat to human life, but the administration does not take any action to curb the menace.
