Suggestions invited for first meeting of advisory board on MSME

The first meeting of the state-level advisory board on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) will be held on May 10 at the office of MSME-Development Institute (DI) here.

The first meeting of the state-level advisory board on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) will be held on May 10 at the office of MSME-Development Institute (DI) here.

Inviting suggestions from different quarters of the industry, member secretary and convenor of the board and director MSME-DI, SS Dhillon said the suggestions will help in chalking out the agenda for the meeting.

He said the work on the agenda for the meeting is going on and the same would be circulated among members a week prior to the meeting.

He urged industrial association to give suggestions within three days so that these could be included in the agenda. Principal secretary, department of industry, Karan Avtar Singh, would chair the meeting.

The board was constituted by the state government with a purpose to play advisory role for promotion of MSME sector in state. The board consists of 35 members, including representatives of several departments.

Dhillon said the meeting would discuss issues confronting the industry with regard to other departments as well and solution for the same will be worked out with representatives of these departments.

The federation of the association of small industries had also written to governor, Shivraj V Patil raising voice against dissolution of the board, terming it unconstitutional.
