Addressing media at his residence at Chhotepur village near here on Monday, Chhotepur said, “Sukhbir is trying to mislead the people by hiding the weaknesses of the SAD-BJP government. He cannot evade his responsibility by levelling ‘false’ charges on the opposition.”

The AAP leader said people of the state were known to alleged misdeeds of the Akalis. “It is an open secret that the Badals had misused their government positions to amass wealth illegally. Badals have flourished their businesses at the cost of the development of the state and welfare of the people,” Chhotepur alleged.

Chhotepur said if the Badal government wanted peace and communal harmony in Punjab, it could have nabbed the real culprits responsible for the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib at Bargarhi village in Faridkot district and avoided the killings of two Sikh protesters at Behbal Kalan village in Faridkot.

He said innumerable misdeeds of the Badal government were likely to come to light near the 2017 Assembly elections. Chhotepur remarked that the false mask of his being ‘panthic’ was soon going to be removed from the face of Parkash Singh Badal.
