The CBI will hand over the transcript on October26.

The CBI public prosecutor initially opposed the decision of providing the transcript along with the pre-trap and the post-trap memos, as the case was at its initial stage. The counsel also argued that the transcript of conversation and memos were to be used for examination of material witnesses, so the same could not be supplied, as the accused may influence or interfere with the investigation of the case.

Defence counsel Vishal Garg Narwana had urged the court on Sunday to direct the CBI to provide them copies of the transcripts of the recorded conversation between the accused Deshraj and complainant Anokh Singh along with the pre-trap and the post-trap memos. Narwana also argued that under Section 50-A CrPC and Article 22 (1) & (2) of the Constitution, the accused had the right to information regarding his arrest.
