Tight security leaves city residents fuming

This resulted in long queues on the road, while some commuters took to crossing over the road divider to take alternate routes, leading to chaos.

Meanwhile, entry to the campus was banned on all gates, due to which students faced a tough time.
A group of students from Jabalpur that had come to Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University (GADVASU) on an educational tour were left fretting after they weren't allowed to enter the campus. Consequently, they had to make other arrangements.

A faculty member at the veterinary university said the group had reached the campus early in the morning, but cops didn't allow them to enter due to security arrangements for the PM's visit. Therefore, alternate arrangements had to be made for the group.

Another harassed lot were some students of GADVASU who had to take their internal examinations. Despite giving their reason to enter the campus, the students could not get a nod from the cops. Paramvir Singh, a student of college of fisheries, GADVASU, said he had to take an examination on the campus, but policemen didn't allow him to enter as a result of which he missed the examination.

Even after the choppers left, residents were not allowed to enter the campus for a long time until cops gave them a green signal.
