Truckers' protest halts Indo-Pak trade for 2 hours

Indo-Pak trade at the Attari border remained suspended for more than two hours on Saturday after truck drivers stopped work in protest against denial of access to their helpers to the integrated check post (ICP).

Indo-Pak trade at the Attari border remained suspended for more than two hours on Saturday after truck drivers stopped work in protest against denial of access to their helpers to the integrated check post (ICP).

Some truck drivers told mediapersons that their driving licences kept at the gate also get misplaced at times. The truck operators parked their vehicles right in front of the gates of the ICP, bringing the movement of goods to a standstill.

The protest was called off after BSF officials held a meeting with the truckers.
