Two drivers from Jammu among 3 killed in bus, pickup van collision near Hoshiarpur

The victims include drivers of both the vehicles and a passenger of the bus.

Three persons were killed when a tourist bus and a pickup van collided on Chandigarh road near Chak Fulu, 45 km from here, on Tuesday morning. The victims include drivers of both vehicles and a passenger of the bus.

The bus (UP 22 T 7773) was taking passengers to Jammu. The timber-laden Mahindra pickup (PB 32 E 4721) was going towards Balachaur town. The collision left the van completely mangled.

Bus driver Ashok Kumar of Miran Sahib, Jammu, and passenger Parveen Kumar of Sadowal village in Garhshankar died on the spot.

The pickup driver, Kulbir Singh of Majari, Jammu, died when he was being referred from Garhshankar Civil Hospital.

Some of the passengers sustained minor injuries. They boarded other vehicles to reach their destination.
