Going back on the promises made to the people, flip-flops and U-turns marked the three-month rule of the BJP government in Haryana, leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in Haryana, Kiran Choudhry, said on Wednesday.
She charged the BJP government with non-implementation of the Swaminathan Commission report on agriculture, 24-hour power supply in the state, doubling of the social security pension and a virtual somersault on the issue of the nuclear power plant in Fatehabad district.
She said that not noly the state BJP leaders, even Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured 24-hour power supply in the run-up to both the Lok Sabha and Haryana assembly polls, but the ground level reality now was that consumers were getting power supply for not more than four hours.
Besides, the first three months of the BJP rule were marked by acute urea shortage affecting the sowing operations, water not reaching the tail-ends of farms and enraged farmers hitting the roads, she said.
"These, together with flip-flops such as the one on the issue of Sonepat sisters has hurt the people of Haryana and given the pace at which the state government is going back on the poll promises and playing with the sentiments of the people, it is just a matter of time before they give vent to their ire against the BJP mis-governance", Choudhry added.
