However, as he is undergoing judicial custody in a case of sedition against him, he was again sent to the jail in Sangrur. He was taken in preventive custody by Bathinda police on November 13 and was sent to Sangrur jail in judicial custody.

He was produced before the sub-divisional magistrate here which discharged him of sections 107 and 151 of Code of Criminal Procedure. However, as the Amritsar police has registered a case of sedition against him along with other Sikh radical leaders after the radical Sarbat Khalsa, he was again sent to the jail.

Gurdeep alleged that the SAD-BJP government has framed them in the sedition case as among the 13 resolutions passed at the Sarbat Khalsa, there was no any resolution on Khalistan. He said that the state government was trying to create panic among the people by defaming Sarbat Khalsa.
