Police had issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) to airports throughout India for netting suspects involved in preparing passports on the basis of fake documents with the help of three head constables who were posted in the security branch of Moga police.

Gurmeet Singh Kingra, chief investigation officer of this racket, claimed that Nachhattar Ghai was trying to fly out to London from the Amritsar airport on a fake passport.

"Immigration officials informed Moga police after which assistant investigation officer Tejinder Singh arrested her with a fake passport prepared with a fake address at Dunne Ke village in Moga district," Kingra said.

During the last four years, 83 persons have been arrested by SIC from New Delhi and Amritsar airports, with many suspects still under its scanner.
