A slot of around two hours has been kept for each location where these mobile vans will sell onions and potatoes. The department will try to cover most of the sectors, colonies and villages of Chandigarh which have sizeable amount of underprivileged people, by preparing a new route plan daily.
Meanwhile, a good response was received from consumers of Sectors 31C, 32, Ram Darbar Phase 1 and 2 and Manimajra village on the first day. Each mobile van sold around 400 kg each of potatoes and onions within three hours.
