VIBGYOR-13 kicks off at BFGI

VIBGYOR-13, dubbed as an international festival, began at the Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI) on Wednesday. The chief guest on occasion was Surjit Kumar Jyani, state forest, wildlife and labour minister. He announced Rs 5 lakh for the BFGI. Maj Gen Vikas Joshi, chief of staff, headquarter, 10 Corps; Mantar Singh Brar, chief parliamentary secretary; Col Suraj, Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, MD, BFGI; and Sardool Singh Grewal, vice-president, BFGI; were prominent among those present on the occasion.

Dhaliwal claimed that VIBGYOR is an international fest, where events related to technology, management, culture, science and entertainment are organised.

"Around 100 stalls have been put up at the fest. Different colleges, universities and IITs participated in different events such as Grill Will, AD Mad, Create an Idea, Dumb Travesty, Scrap Heap Challenge, Treasure Hunt, W6," Said Dhaliwal.

A motorcycle stunt show was also organised on the occasion during which a stuntman was injured.
