Asked on Sunday here why he chose the village, the veteran film actor said the place had great religious significance on account of being the 'gaddi' (seat) of Pindori, one of the 52 Vaishnava Dwaras associated with Bairagi establishment.

Khanna said Talibpur-Pindori needed to be developed as a tourist spot, since it also was a central place in his parliamentary constituency and met the criteria of a population between 3,000 and 5,000. It has 4,600 people.
The MP said all central government departments would offer all sorts of projects, funds and other assistance to Talibpur-Pindori to turn it into a model village, which will give it all basic civic amenities and the new way of life.

"The villagers will be made aware of rights and duties and encouraged to participate in cleaning roads and lanes and run their schools by rules.
