Talking to reporters here today, former Chief Minister Dhumal said Modi has resolved to take on corruption cases firmly and inquiries against corrupt people would be expedited and they would not be in a position to continue in office.

"A person who misused his position earlier as a Union minister and now as the Chief Minister for corruption will not remain in power," Dhumal said referring to Singh.

Responding to Governor Urmila Singh's decision to grant sanction for his prosecution in a case related to his MP son Anurag Thakur-led HPCA, Dhumal said the cricket association was sanctioned land by the cabinet in 2002 and it had already built a world class stadium at Dharamsala.

"Is it a wrong committed by me that I presided over the cabinet meeting in which land was sanctioned to HPCA?" he asked and questioned the incumbent Chief Minister's honesty.

Dhumal said that no individual can be made an accused for collective decision of the cabinet, and advised the Chief Minister not to draw a parallel with his prosecution in the Sagar Katha case as he himself tempered with the records to favour a particular company.

"We are not afraid of any prosecution, inquiries or charge-sheets as everyone knows that which Chief Minister misused his position...," Dhumal added.
