Continuing with the nursery admission process, Vivek High School, Sector 38, on Monday allotted 20 seats through a draw of lots. Earlier, 45 seats were allocated under the point system, and 30 kids were promoted from the toddler section.
School chair HS Mamik confirmed the figures.
Categories like sibling, alumni and staff children were to be allotted points, on the basis of which the school authorities shortlisted students.
Four others are on a waiting list and 30 others have been directly promoted from the toddler section, which was started last year.
Meanwhile, the Strawberry Fields High School held a draw of lots for the play class on Saturday, despite a holiday being declared by the UT administration on account of Guru Gobind Singh’s birth anniversary.
Of the total 75 seats for the play class, 61 were allocated in the sibling quota, and 14 others were allocated in the general category.
The draw of lots for the economically weaker section (EWS) category was held last week.
Forty seats were allotted under the EWS category.
