After a 38-year-old woman died under mysterious circumstances at local Guru Nanak Colony on Saturday, her family alleged that her in-laws were harassing her for some reasons, which forced her to commit suicide.

The police said Rachna's cousin Ashok Kumar alleged that her in-laws were harassing her for past many days and had given some poisonous substance to her.

The police said Kumar also alleged that her in-laws failed to inform them about Rachna's demise on Saturday and took her body to local cremation ground.

However, her relatives managed to reach spot and informed police about this. The police took the body in their possession and sent it for post mortem to know the exact cause of death.

On the other hand, Rachna's husband Rajeev Kumar and their 16-year-old son refuted all the allegations and said she died a natural death on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the local police registered case against Rachna's mother-in-law Kirna Devi and father-in-law Gyan Chand on the charges of abetment of suicide.
