About 7,000 members of the Unaided Staff (Aided-School) Union, Punjab, warned the state government that they will not cast their vote if their demands were not fulfilled.

Vijay Gautam, district president of the union, while addressing a meeting said the state government's attitude towards their long-pending demand for regularisation of jobs in the aided schools forced them to take the decision of not casting their vote.
