Youth attacked with sharp-edged weapons, succumbs to injuries

A youth was attacked with some sharp edged weapons by some unidentified person in Basti Bawa Khel area late Sunday night. The youth, later, succumbed to injuries in civil hospital, where he was brought by residents of the area.

Late last night, residents of the area noticed a person in pool of blood and immediately rushed him to civil hospital, where he succumbed to injuries within 20 minutes of his admission, police sources said.

Deceased, who was later identified as Chanchal, resident of Ram Nagar localit and worked in a Electronic Shop in Kishanpura area, police said adding that a case under section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against unidentified persons.

Investigation are and we are trying to find out whether the deceased had any enmity with someone, for which statements of family members and colleague at work, are being recorded , ACP Ravinder Pal Singh Sidhu said.
