Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said India wasn’t safe without the Hindutva because the country couldn’t be safe if the Hindus weren’t.
Bhagwat was addressing around 5,000 RSS volunteers and villagers at Morhabadi Football Stadium on 25 years of successful running of Ekal Vidyalayas , an initiative by the RSS to ensure education in rural India.
The Sangh chief went on to say that India couldn’t have a better future without “Hindutva”, which was still alive in the rural areas.
“The need of the hour is to unite urban and rural citizens of India and make the country a better place to live,” he said.
He said he worked as an RSS worker in the state when the Ekal Abhiyaan began here and the current condition of Ekal Vidyalayas was exactly what he had imagined 25 years ago.
“The Ekal Vidyalayas are doing extremely well, very soon we would have one crore educated villagers in India who would be alumni of these schools,” he said.
RSS workers here said that the concept of the Ekal Vidyalaya is to provide complete education — spiritual, health, mainstream, agriculture and Ayurveda — to the rural children.
They said the teachers in these schools explored the possibilities of finding natural cures to the diseases of the villagers. The RSS believed that the cure to every ailment was available in nature and the villagers were ignoring the natural remedies and adopting Allopathic treatments.

{{/usCountry}}“We have started teaching about natural medicines to the villages, our aim is to make villages free from imported Allopathic medicines,” said an RSS worker.
The Sangh has also started a crusade against the use of chemical fertilizers by the farmers.
