Addressing a public meeting in Jharkhand’s Basukinath area the BJP prime ministerial candidate said Gandhi would be left to play with “balloons’’ and “toffees’’ after the general elections.

Earlier, in Hazaribagh, Modi attacked the Congress candidate Saurav Narayan Singh saying that Singh was yet to come out of his childhood. “The reign of mother (Sonia Gandhi) and the son (Rahul Gandhi) will end; soon the people of the country will see Shehzade playing with balloons and toffees after the election,” Modi said in Basukinath.

Targeting the Jharkhand links to the recent Patna serial blasts, Modi said the UPA government is responsible for the mushrooming of terrorism in the state. Instead of improving eco-tourism, the UPA has spread terrorism in Jharkhand, he alleged.

Earlier in the day he addressed an election rally at Nehru Ground in Kerkend, Dhanbad. Besides the Asia famous Indian School of Mines (ISM) would be accorded IIT status soon after the BJP government comes to power.

Lashing out at Congress led UPA government Modi said the government failed to keep promises it had made to ISM students.

“Dhanbad is the power house of country and would be given its due share of development if youth of Jharkhand as well as the country help us in sending three hundred "lotus flowers" ( MPs) to Parliament,” he said.
