It’s been an eventful year for actor Raqesh Bapat. From contracting swine flu on the sets of Savita Damodar Paranjape (2017; SDP) to hurting his foot on glass pieces while shooting Sarva Mangal Savdhan (2017; SMS), the actor has been in pain in some way or the other this year.
“One thing I learnt this year is, ‘The show must go on’. I continued shooting with a wounded foot and swine flu. In fact, the entire cast of SDP contracted swine flu. I was amazed at the dedication each member showed when they reported back on the sets within a few days,” he says. Raqesh, who made his debut with Vrundavan (2016), is currently shooting the last leg of SMS with Manjari Fadnnis.
“It is a rom-com where I play a completely ‘chichora’ (frivolous) guy. He is a vibrant character and it is a fun film. This year, you will get to see me portray completely different roles. SDP is a thriller and an intense film and I play a scholar in. The other untitled film will be a complete surprise,” he adds.
The actor will be seen on the big screen after a long time. Raqesh says, “The universe has decided to give me the best all at once, and I am not complaining. I am glad

{{/usCountry}}all these films are being made back-to-back and will be released this year. I have shot for these films in a span of three months; what more could an actor ask for? I have no idea how I did it, but the vibes on all the sets were amazing and positive. That kept me going.”
