Singam 3 to be rechristened, new name to be unveiled on Wednesday

Singam 3 is going in for a name change -- the makers of the film will make the announcement on Wednesday. To be directed by Hari, Singam 3 will star Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan as the female leads.

In a departure from the norm, upcoming Tamil thriller Singam 3 starring Suriya, is all set to be rechristened. The makers of the film will make the announcement on Wednesday. The shooting for the film will begin later this week.

“The new title will be announced on Wednesday midnight. We’re changing the title for a special reason, which we plan to reveal shortly,” said a source from the film’s production unit.

To be directed by Hari, the film will be produced by Suriya’s home banner 2D Entertainment. Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan have been roped in to play the female leads.

Suriya is bankrolling the project under his home banner 2D Entertainment. He currently awaits the release of Tamil thriller 24, which is directed by Vikram Kumar and features Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen in important roles.
