The principal shooting of Ajith’s Vivegam, one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of the year, was wrapped up on Thursday. Film’s director Siva shared the news on his Twitter page and thanked Ajith’s fans for constant support and love. Last month, the makers released the first single Surviva from the album and it became an instant chartbuster. The second single – Thala Viduthalai – will be released on July 10, composer Anirudh Ravichander revealed the news via his Twitter page on Thursday night.
Ajith plays an Interpol agent and is said to have performed a lot of stunts sans body double in the film, which has been reportedly made on a budget of over INR 100 crore. Being directed by Siva, who has teamed up for the third time with Ajith after Veeram and Vedalam, the film also introduces Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist to Tamil filmdom. Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan play pivotal roles.

Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Vivegam has music by Anirudh Ravichander and it is loosely based on Liam Neeson’s Taken, according to industry grapevine. The film is slated to hit the screens worldwide in August.
