There’s an old lady who sells buttermilk outside a government hospital near my house. Every time I visit her stall, her eyes sparkle. I call her baa.

She, is old, sick, addicted to some native tobacco, has partial cataract, suffers from regular breathing problems and often faints.

Still so happy
She recently lost two of her sons. and now her family comprises her daughter, her young son and her old husband. Whenever I visit her stall, I touch her feet, drink a glass or two of buttermilk and spend at least an hour with her.

She tells me about her struggle days, how her sons died, the people who help her family, her
daily chores and more.

She repeats the same stories every time I am next to her. She has to earn because her husband is retired and their younger son is unemployed.

So touching
Many a times, she gives away buttermilk for free to many of the thirsty pedestrians. When I question this.. she calmly explains to me that a good deed can make your day. Baa believes that man is hungry for love, affection and not for money.
