Social networking sites, email and SMSes are increasingly becoming popular choices for people to end their romantic relationships, a new study has revealed.

Social networking sites, email and SMSes are increasingly becoming popular choices for people to end their romantic relationships, a new study has revealed. Market researchers Lab42 asked 550 people above the age of 18 about the impact of social networking on their relationships.

The survey found that a third of people ended their relationship using these sites, email or texts. And while 33 per cent of respondents said they had broken up this way, 40 per cent admitted they thought it was possible they would in the future.
