A new research has revealed that an average woman dates 24 men and spends more than 2,000 pounds before finding her "Mr Right".

The study led by UKDating.com revealed that a single date can set a woman back 85.38 pounds, and most money is spent on hair, outfits, travel, and drinks. "Although you cannot put the price on true love, it seems you can certainly put a price on finding it," telegraph.co.uk quoted a spokesman for UKDating.com as saying.

"While men are still traditionally footing the bill of the date on the night, this shows how much women are prepared to pay behind the scenes to make each date successful," he added.

During the study, researchers surveyed 2,173 of its members and found that women spend 12.86 pounds on having their hair styled, and another 26.55 pounds on a new outfit – with 8.35 pounds of accessories to match, before every date, reports telegraph.co.uk.

They also found that seven per cent of women have been on between 41 and 60 dates before finally finding someone to share their life with. Despite spending a lot of money preparing for a date, a third of women have left halfway through after realising they were sitting with "Mr Wrong", the survey discovered.
