KARACHI: Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has decided to take legal action against legendary batsman Javed Miandad after the latter levelled allegations of match-fixing against the former T20I captain.
According to The Express Tribune, the 36-year-old all-rounder has decided to send a legal notice to Miandad on Thursday.
Speaking during a book launch ceremony on Sunday, Afridi had said money has always been an issue for Miandad, which separated him from World Cup winning captain Imran Khan.
The 59-year-old, who was the part of the 1992 World Cup winning eleven, then accused Afridi of match fixing. “I challenge Afridi to swear upon his daughter and say that he didn’t sell Pakistan’s matches,”said Miandad.
It is reported that the flamboyant all-rounder and his lawyers are going through video clips to ascertain facts.
