MUMBAI: Jamnabai Narsee, Juhu defeated St Mary’s SSC, Mazagaon 2-0 in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association Boys’ Under-16 First Division football match at Azad Maidan on Wednesday. Karan Dhanda and Sahil Vaswani scored for the Juhu school.

CAMBRIDGE STUN D’ASSISI TO ENTER FINAL

Favourites St Francis D’Assisi, Borivli were stunned 1-0 by Cambridge, Kandivli on their home turf to enter the final of the boys’ under-14 Subroto Mukherjee Cup football tournament on Wednesday. Abhinav Michael scored the all-important goal in the first half. FISHERMEN RIDE ON MAKHWANA HAT-TRICK

Striker Mangesh Makhwana scored a fine hat-trick in leading Fishermen FC to a thumping 5-0 win against Rebels SC in a First Division fourth round encounter of the 15th Bandra West Football league at the Dr Norman Lewis Supari Talao municipal grounds. Mangesh received excellent support from teammate Geetesh Chimbaikar, who netted the other two goals.
