Houghton had denied that he passed any racial remark.

The Federation on Friday asked the coach to explain his remarks.

The coach was earlier hauled up for India's poor performance at the Asian Cup 2011 in Doha in January, where India conceded 13 goals in three league matches.

Houghton, who arrived on Saturday after guiding India to the top of group B in the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, has been asked to report at the Football House in New Delhi on April 11, an AIFF official source disclosed.
