Del Potro ends losing streak in style

Argentinian Juan Martin del Potro ended a losing streak of six matches this season to world number one Roger Fderer in beating him in the final of the ATP tournament in Basel, Switzerland today 6-4, 6-7 (5/7), 7-6 (7/3).

Argentinian Juan Martin del Potro ended a losing streak of six matches this season to world number one Roger Federer in beating him in the final of the ATP tournament in Basel, Switzerland on Sunday 6-4, 6-7 (5/7), 7-6 (7/3).

Del Potro, the 2009 US Open winner, won his second successive title, after winning the Vienna Open last Sunday, and deprived Federer of a sixth title in eight appearances in Basel, Switzerland.

Del Potro's best previous showing here was a semi-final appearance in 2008.
