Darby is now in Bangkok coaching actors for football scenes and "devising a training regime that best suits the needs of the film and the choreographed action sequences".

"The football stars in this film are useful footballers who are working very hard to make the scenes go well. They are very busy shooting nearly every day and then working on football skills on days off and even sometimes after a full day of filming," Darby told HT in an e-mail on Sunday.

"It's actually easier to talk about football than choreograph football action. We just try to give the actors the training they need to be successful and to make for some exciting and lasting sports moments for films," he said. Now based in Vietnam Darby, 57, claims to be a Bollywood fan and rated Bandit Queen as his all-time favourite film.
