Honduras got the one point they needed on the final night of qualifying in North and Central America and the Caribbean to finish third in the six-nation group and reach next year's finals in Brazil.

As the fourth-placed finishers, Mexico will play Oceania's New Zealand next month for a World Cup berth.
And the Mexicans owe a massive debt of thanks to the United States, who scored two injury-time goals in a 3-2 win over Panama that dashed Panama's hopes of seizing the fourth spot from Mexico.
