Indore’s Holkar stadium will host the final of the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy, according to a BCCI media release. The final will be played from December 29 to January 2.

This is the second consecutive time the Holkar stadium is hosting the Ranji Trophy final. In the 2016-17 season, it played host to the final between Gujarat and Mumbai, with Parthiv Patel’s side winning by five wickets.
The semi-final dates and venues were also announced. Bengal will take on Delhi at the MCA stadium in Pune while Vidarbha will take on Karnataka in Kolkata on December 17-21.
Bengal knocked out the 2016-17 winners Gujarat thanks to the first innings lead in their drawn quarter-final game in Jaipur. On the other hand, Karnataka hammered 41-time Ranji champions Mumbai by an innings and 20 runs in Nagpur. Delhi defeated Madhya Pradesh by seven wickets while Vidarbha, the team that have sprung plenty of surprises in this season of the tournament, hammered Kerala by 412 runs.
In the last Ranji Trophy final at the Holkar stadium, Parthiv Patel led from the front and smashed 143 as Gujarat chased down 313 against Mumbai to win the Ranji Trophy for the first time ever.
